The Dugout is a football companion app that provides live scores, league tables, predicted lineups, player information, and curated club news. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Favourite club selection — stored locally on your device to personalise your experience
Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, your device token is stored on our server to deliver match alerts
Device information — basic device identifiers for push notification delivery
Anonymous usage data — we may collect anonymised usage patterns to improve the app

We do not collect your name, email address, or contacts
We do not require you to create an account

We do not collect payment information — all subscriptions are handled by Apple via StoreKit
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to deliver live scores, match alerts, and football content relevant to your favourite club. We do not sell, share, or monetise your personal data in any way.
Third-Party Services
SportMonks — provides live scores, fixtures, and lineup data. No personal data is sent to this service.
OpenAI — generates match previews and player summaries. No personal data is sent to this service.
Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) — delivers push notifications to your device. No personal data beyond your device token is shared with Apple for this purpose.
Data Storage
On your device — preferences, favourite club, cached content
On our server (Cloudflare) — push notification tokens and Live Activity subscriptions
Apple — subscription status and payment, managed entirely by Apple
Live Activities
The Dugout supports Live Activities to display real-time scores on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. This feature uses your existing push notification token and does not collect any additional personal data.
Your Rights
You can delete all locally stored data by removing the app from your device
You can disable push notifications at any time in Settings
You can contact us at support@thedugout.football to request deletion of any server-side data (push tokens)
Children
The Dugout is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
