Match Report: Shevchenko and Assiedou on target in U21 draw at Bristol City

Watford Observer · By Adam Drury

Bentley Assiedou scored a second-half equaliser as Watford Under-21s drew 2-2 with Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Tuesday afternoon.

Adrian Mariappa's side fell behind at the home of the Robins' first team, Harry Hogg tapping in after Roraigh Browne had spilled a shot.

Kristian Shevchenko levelled for the young Hornets before half-time, but they fell behind again when Hogg added his second after 52 minutes.

The visitors were able to claim a point, though, when Assiedou levelled up.

Jack Griffin nearly nicked it for City but the points were ultimately shared.

Watford: Browne, Eames, Hunt, Georgiou, London, Sanghrajka (Tobi Akinyimika 46), Smith (Lamothe 75), Gorman (Tomiwa Akinyimika), Lawson, Shevchenko, Assiedou (Smith-Daley 75)
